Taking Part in Webinars, Virtual Meetings, Conferences, and Seminars (with or without partners)
What is this about?
This privacy information is for when you sign up for a webinar, virtual meeting, conference, or seminar organized by TECE SE, either alone or with partners. TECE SE uses web conference systems for these events. To join a virtual webinar, meeting, or conference, you need to sign up. This happens on a separate sign-up page provided by our web seminar service provider.
Why and how do we process your data? (Purposes and Legal Basis)
We collect and process your data to organize and run the seminar, webinar, meeting, or conference. Other purposes might include showing and working on documents/presentations together. The legal basis for this is Article 6, Section 1, letter b of the GDPR.

Who receives your personal data?
We get your sign-up contact details for webinars from our service provider, who provides the technical setup for the webinar and the sign-up page you used. Your data may also be sent to third parties (like cooperation partners). These companies use your sign-up data to let you take part in the event. If a company plans to use your data for other reasons, they will contact you to explain how and why they will use your sign-up data.
Sending personal data to countries outside the EU:
Depending on the service provider we use, personal data might be sent to a subcontractor of our data processor who is located in a country outside the EU. This transfer is based on Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs), which are suitable safeguards.
How long do we keep your personal data?
Participant data is processed for the specific purpose of managing and organizing a webinar, meeting, or conference. It is deleted once that purpose is no longer valid. Data deletion follows legal retention periods: correspondence is kept for six years, and billing records for ten years.
Automatic Credit Check / Scoring
If we provide services or goods before you pay for them, we may get an automatic credit report from the following company to protect our interests. This report uses mathematical-statistical methods. We receive information from the company below about the statistical chance of a payment default.
The credit report may include score values (probability values) calculated using scientifically recognized mathematical-statistical methods. This involves using many factors, such as income, address data, job, marital status, and past payment behavior, to predict your future risk of not paying. The result is shown as a payment value (a "score"). The information we get helps us decide whether to start, continue, or end a contract with you. However, your choice of payment methods does not depend on this information.
Your rights to object and ask for deletion are explained in the general rules on data protection rights and deletion claims found later in this privacy policy.
Specifically: Verband der Vereine Creditreform e.V.

After this period, we check if storage is still necessary; otherwise, the data is deleted on the exact day. If a matter is resolved, the data is deleted exactly three years after the resolution date. Entries in the debtor register are deleted exactly three years after the entry order date, as per § 882e ZPO.

You have the right to request information from Verband der Vereine Creditreform e.V. about the data they have stored about you. If the data stored about you is wrong, you have the right to have it corrected or deleted. If it cannot be immediately determined whether the data is wrong or right, you have the right to have the data blocked until it is clarified. If your data is incomplete, you can ask for it to be completed. If you have given your consent for the processing of data stored by Verband der Vereine Creditreform e.V., you have the right to withdraw this consent at any time. Withdrawing your consent does not affect the legality of the processing of your data that happened based on your consent before you withdrew it.

They will help you quickly and confidentially with all data protection questions. Verband der Vereine Creditreform e.V. customers use the score values to help them make their own credit decisions.

How We Analyze Website Visits - Web Trackers
When you visit our website or download files from it, we collect, process, and save the following information:
- Your IP address
- The website you came from to get to our file
- The name of the file
- The date and time you accessed it
- The amount of data transferred
- A message about whether the access was successful (this is called a "web log").
We only use this access data in a way that doesn't identify you personally. We use it to constantly make our website better and for general statistics.
We also use the following "web trackers" to understand how people visit our website:
Google Googleadservices / Google AdWords Conversion / Google Dynamic Remarketing
We use a web tracking service from Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, 94043 Mountain View, USA (which we'll call "Google Ad Services" for short).
Google Ad Services uses cookies for web tracking. These are small files stored on your computer. They help us understand how you use our website and what you look at online (this is called "tracking"). We do this to constantly improve our website and make it easier for you to use.
When you use our website, information like your IP address and your activity is sent to Google Ad Services' servers. This information is processed and stored outside the European Union, for example, in the USA.
Why do we process this data? (Legal Basis)
This is based on your permission (Article 6, Section 1, letter a of the GDPR). Google Ad Services has certified itself under the EU-US Privacy Shield agreement, which aims to protect your data (you can see more here: https://www.privacyshield.gov/list).
How long do we keep this data?
We delete this data once the reason for collecting it is gone. You can find more details about how Google Ad Services handles data in their privacy policy: https://www.google.de/intl/de/policies/privacy/
How you can stop this:
You can stop your personal data (especially your IP address) from being collected and sent, and stop it from being processed, by:
- Turning off "script code" in your browser.
- Installing a "script blocker" in your browser (like www.noscript.net or www.ghostery.com).
- Turning on the "Do Not Track" setting in your browser.
You can also prevent Google AdWords from being used by rejecting the related cookies.
Google-Analytics
What personal data is processed?
We use the web tracking service from Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, 94043 Mountain View, USA (which we'll call "Google Analytics" for short).
Google Analytics uses cookies for web tracking. These are stored on your computer and allow us to analyze how you use our website and your Browse habits (this is called "tracking"). We do this analysis to continuously improve our website and make it more accessible.
When you use our website, information, especially your IP address and your user activities, is sent to Google LLC's servers. This data is processed and stored outside the European Union, for example, in the USA.
The EU Commission has found that the USA can offer enough data protection if the company processing the data has agreed to the US-EU Privacy Shield framework, and if data export to the USA is set up correctly through this agreement. By turning on IP anonymization within the Google Analytics tracking code on this website, your IP address is made anonymous by Google Analytics before it is sent. This website uses a Google Analytics tracking code that has gat._anonymizeIp(); added to it, which only allows anonymous collection of IP addresses (called "IP masking").
Why do we process this data? (Legal Basis)
This is based on your permission (Article 6, Section 1, letter a of the GDPR). This consent is given either when you register with Google (by creating a Google account and accepting their privacy policies) or, if you haven't registered with Google, by giving your explicit consent when you open our website.
What is the purpose of this data processing?
Google will use this information on our behalf to look at how you use this website, create reports about website activities, and provide us with other services related to website and internet use. The IP address sent from your browser as part of Google Analytics will not be combined with other data from Google LLC.
How long do we keep this data?
Google will store the data relevant for web tracking for as long as needed to provide the service we've signed up for. The data collection and storage are anonymous. If personal information is somehow present, it will be deleted immediately, unless there are legal rules that say it must be kept. In any case, it will be deleted after the retention period ends.
How you can stop this:
You can stop your personal data (especially your IP address) from being collected and sent to Google, and stop it from being processed by Google, by:
- Turning off "script code" in your browser.
- Installing a "script blocker" in your browser (like www.noscript.net or www.ghostery.com).
- Turning on the "Do Not Track" setting in your browser.
You can find Google Analytics' security and privacy principles here: http://www.google.com/intl/de/analytics/learn/privacy.html.
You can also prevent Google Analytics from being used by rejecting the related cookies.
Matomo (formerly Piwik)
This website uses the open-source web analytics service Matomo. Matomo uses "cookies." These are text files saved on your computer that allow us to analyze how you use the website. The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website is stored on our server. Your IP address is made anonymous before it is stored.
Matomo cookies stay on your device until you delete them.
Why do we process this data? (Legal Basis)
Storing Matomo cookies and using this analysis tool is based on Article 6, Section 1, letter f of the GDPR (legitimate interest). The website operator has a good reason to analyze user behavior anonymously to improve both its website and its advertising. If you have given your permission (e.g., for storing cookies), processing is based solely on Article 6, Section 1, letter a of the GDPR; you can withdraw your permission at any time.
What is the purpose of this data processing?
The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website is not shared with third parties. You can stop cookies from being stored by changing your browser settings. However, please note that if you do this, you may not be able to use all the features of this website fully.
How you can stop this:
If you don't agree to your data being stored and used, you can stop it here. If you choose this, an "opt-out cookie" will be placed in your browser. This cookie prevents Matomo from storing usage data. If you delete your cookies, the Matomo opt-out cookie will also be deleted. You'll need to activate the opt-out again if you visit this website another time.
Google Tag Manager
What personal data is processed?
We use the service of Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, 94043 Mountain View, USA (which we'll call "Google Tag Manager" for short).
Google Tag Manager is a technical platform that allows us to run and manage other web services and web tracking programs using "tags." Google Tag Manager stores cookies on your computer and, if web tracking tools are run through it, analyzes your Browse behavior (this is called "tracking"). The data sent by individual tags linked in Google Tag Manager is collected, stored, and processed by Google Tag Manager under a single user interface. All linked "tags" are listed separately in other parts of this privacy policy. You can find more information about the privacy of tools integrated into Google Tag Manager in their specific sections of this privacy policy.
When you use our website with Google Tag Manager tags enabled, data, especially your IP address and your user activities, is sent to Google LLC's servers. This data is processed and stored outside the European Union, for example, in the USA.
The EU Commission has found that the USA can offer enough data protection if the company processing the data has agreed to the US-EU Privacy Shield framework, and if data export to the USA is set up correctly through this agreement. This is the case with Google LLC. For web services connected via Google Tag Manager, the rules in the relevant section of this privacy policy apply. The tracking tools used in Google Tag Manager ensure through IP anonymization of the source code that the IP address is made anonymous by Google Tag Manager before it is sent. This means Google Tag Manager only allows anonymous collection of IP addresses (called "IP masking").
On our behalf, Google will use this information to look at how you use this website, create reports about website activities, and provide us with other services related to website and internet use.
Additionally, you can stop Google from collecting and processing the data generated by the Google cookie about your use of the website (including your IP address) by downloading and installing the browser plug-in available at the following link: http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de.
You can find Google Analytics' security and privacy principles here: http://www.google.com/intl/de/analytics/learn/privacy.html.
Using Outside Web Services and Processing Data Outside the EU
On our website, we use active bits of code from other companies (called "web services"). When you visit our website, these outside companies might get personal information about your visit. This could mean your data is processed outside the European Union (EU).
How you can stop this:
You can stop this by installing a "Java-Script blocker" (like the browser plug-in 'NoScript' at www.noscript.net) or by turning off Java-Script in your browser. If you do this, some features on the websites you visit might not work correctly.

LinkedIn Insight Tag Privacy Policy
On our website, we use a tool called LinkedIn Insight Tag for tracking how well our ads work. This service is provided by the American company LinkedIn Corporation, 2029 Stierlin Court, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA. For data privacy in Europe (EEA, EU, and Switzerland), LinkedIn Ireland Unlimited (Wilton Place, Dublin 2, Ireland) is responsible.
LinkedIn processes your data, including in the USA. We want to let you know that, in the opinion of the European Court of Justice, there isn't currently enough protection for data transfers to the USA. This can come with different risks for how legal and secure your data processing is.
To ensure data processing for recipients in countries outside the EU (especially the USA) or when data is sent there, LinkedIn uses "Standard Contractual Clauses" (Article 46, Sections 2 and 3 of the GDPR). Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) are model agreements provided by the EU Commission. They are meant to make sure your data still meets European data protection standards even when it's sent to and stored in countries outside the EU (like the USA). Through these clauses, LinkedIn promises to follow European data protection levels when processing your data, even if the data is stored, processed, and managed in the USA. These clauses are based on a decision by the EU Commission. You can find the decision and the relevant Standard Contractual Clauses here: https://eur-lex.europa.eu/eli/dec_impl/2021/914/oj?locale=de.
You can find more information about LinkedIn's Standard Contractual Clauses here: https://de.linkedin.com/legal/l/dpa or https://www.linkedin.com/legal/l/eu-sccs.

You can stop website-check.de from collecting and processing your data by turning off "script code" in your browser or by installing a "script blocker" in your browser (you can find these at www.noscript.net or www.ghostery.com).WebSped
You can track shipments using the WebSped portal through our website. Generally, you can use the WebSped portal without giving any personal data. However, if you want to use special services from our company through the portal, we might need to process personal data. If processing personal data is necessary and there's no legal reason for it, we will usually ask for your permission.
Cookies
The WebSped portal uses cookies. Cookies are small text files that are placed and saved on your computer system by your web browser.
Many websites and servers use cookies. Many cookies have a "cookie ID." A cookie ID is a unique name for the cookie. It's a string of characters that allows websites and servers to know which specific web browser stored the cookie. This helps websites and servers tell your browser apart from other web browsers that have different cookies. A specific web browser can be recognized and identified by its unique cookie ID.
By using cookies, we can offer you services on this portal that are easier to use and would not be possible without cookies. Cookies help us make the information and offers on our portal better for you. As mentioned, cookies allow us to recognize users of the portal. The goal of this recognition is to make it easier for you to use the portal. For example, if a website uses cookies, you don't have to enter your login details every time you visit the website because the website and the cookie saved on your computer will remember them.
How you can stop this:
You can stop the portal from setting cookies at any time by changing your internet browser settings. This will permanently stop cookies from being set. Also, you can delete cookies that have already been set at any time using your internet browser or other software. This is possible in all common internet browsers. If you turn off cookies in your browser, you might not be able to use all features of the portal fully.
Collecting General Data and Information by WebSped
Every time someone (or an automated system) visits the WebSped portal, it collects some general data and information. This general data and information is stored in the server's log files. The following can be collected:
- The type and version of browser used.
- The operating system of the system accessing the site.
- The website from which the system accessed our website (called "referrers").
- The sub-pages visited on our website by the accessing system.
- The date and time of the visit to the website.
- An Internet Protocol address (IP address).
- The internet service provider of the accessing system.
- Other similar data and information used to prevent danger in case of attacks on the IT systems.
When using this general data and information, WebSped does not try to figure out who you are. This information is needed to:
- Deliver the content of the portal correctly.
- Improve the content of the portal and its advertising.
- Ensure the IT systems and technology of the portal work properly all the time.
- Provide law enforcement agencies with the necessary information in case of a cyber attack.
This anonymously collected data and information is analyzed by WebSped for statistics. It is also used to improve data protection and data security, ultimately aiming for the best possible protection for the personal data processed by WebSped. The anonymous data from the server log files is stored separately from any personal data provided by you.
Registration on tece.websped.winsped.de
You can register on the website of the company responsible for data processing by providing personal data. What personal data is sent to the company responsible depends on the specific form used for registration.
The personal data you enter is collected and stored only for internal use by the company responsible and for its own purposes. The company responsible may arrange for data to be passed to one or more data processors, such as a parcel delivery service, who will also use the personal data only for internal use that is related to the company responsible.
When you register on the company's website, your IP address (given by your Internet Service Provider) and the date and time of registration are also stored. This data is stored to prevent misuse of services, and if needed, to help investigate crimes. Therefore, storing this data is necessary to protect the company responsible. This data is generally not shared with third parties, unless there is a legal obligation to share it or it is needed for law enforcement.
Registering by voluntarily providing personal data allows the company responsible to offer you content or services that, by their nature, can only be offered to registered users. Registered users are free to change their personal data provided during registration at any time, or to have it completely deleted from the company's records.
The company responsible will provide any user with information about what personal data is stored about them, upon request. The company responsible will also correct or delete personal data at your request or instruction, as long as there are no legal requirements to keep it. All employees of the company responsible are available to help you with this.
Adform A/S
On our subdomain go.tece.com, we use technology from Adform A/S.
This system uses cookies to track and control digital advertising campaigns. The legal basis for this data processing is based on "legitimate interest" (Article 6, Section 1, letter f of the EU GDPR), which is permitted by law. This is ensured until further notice.
Adform does not store personal data like names, email addresses, or other personal details through cookies. All information is anonymous and contains technical details such as how often ads are shown, when they were shown, the browser used, or the operating system installed. It is not possible to figure out who you are from this information. Since IP addresses are considered personal data in Germany, Adform never stores full IP addresses in Germany; instead, it shortens the last part to comply with data protection laws.
How you can stop this:
You can stop Adform from collecting and processing your data by visiting https://site.adform.com/privacy-policy-opt-out. This will place an "opt-out cookie" on your device, which tells the technical systems that no more data should be collected and no more cookies should be set in the future.
How We Use Cookies
Cookie Consent with Consent Manager Provider
Our website uses a tool called Consent Manager Provider to ask for your permission to save certain cookies on your device. This helps us record your choices about cookies in a way that follows privacy laws. The company providing this tool is Jaohawi AB, Håltegelvägen 1b, 72348 Västerås, Sweden (website: https://www.consentmanager.de).
When you visit our website, your device connects to Consent Manager Provider's servers. This is how we get your agreement (or disagreement) about using cookies. After that, Consent Manager Provider saves a cookie in your browser. This cookie helps us remember your choices about cookies.
How long do we keep this data?
The data collected this way is stored until you ask us to delete it, you delete the Consent Manager Provider cookie yourself, or the reason for storing the data no longer applies. Any legal rules that require us to keep data will still be followed.
Why do we process this data? (Legal Basis)
We use Consent Manager Provider to get the legally required consent for using cookies. This is based on Article 6, Section 1, Sentence 1, letter c of the GDPR.
Contract for Data Processing (with Consent Manager Provider)
We have a contract with Consent Manager Provider for data processing. This is a legal agreement required by data protection laws. It makes sure that Consent Manager Provider only processes your personal data from our website visitors based on our instructions and following the GDPR rules.
Data Security and Privacy, Communication by Email
We protect your personal data with technical and organizational measures when we collect, store, and process it. This means it's not accessible to others.
If you send us information by email without encryption, we can't promise that your data will be completely safe while it's traveling to our IT systems. So, for information that needs to be kept highly secret, we recommend using encrypted communication or sending it by postal mail.
Automatic Email Archiving
What personal data is processed?
We want to let you know that our email system automatically archives all emails. All incoming and outgoing emails are digitally archived in a way that is secure for audits.
Why do we process this data? (Legal Basis)
What is the purpose of this data processing?
The purpose of archiving emails is to follow tax and commercial law rules (e.g., §§ 146, 147 of the German Fiscal Code).
How long do we keep this data?
We store our email communication until the tax and commercial law retention periods are over. This can be up to 10 years.
How you can object or ask for deletion:
If you have questions about our email archiving system, please contact our data protection officer.
Important for Job Applications:
We only accept job applications in PDF file format. Zipped files (WinZip, WinRAR, 7Zip, etc.) will be filtered out by our security systems and won't be delivered. We do not consider applications in Word file format or other file formats, and we delete them unread.
Please note that if you send job application documents by unencrypted email, they might be opened by others before they reach our IT systems. We assume that we can reply to unencrypted application emails also unencrypted. If you don't want this, please let us know in your application email.
Withdrawing Consent - Data Information and Change Requests - Deletion & Blocking of Data
According to the German Federal Data Protection Act, you have the right to get information about your stored data for free. You also have the right to correct, block, or delete this data if needed. Your data will then be deleted, unless there are legal rules that prevent it. You can withdraw any permission you've given us to use your personal data at any time.

Right to Data Portability
You have the right to ask us to provide you with the data you have given us about yourself in a structured, commonly used, and machine-readable format. You can also ask us to send this data directly to a third party right away, if the processing is based on your consent (Article 6, Section 1, letter a of the GDPR or Article 9, Section 2, letter a of the GDPR) or on a contract (Article 6, Section 1, letter b of the GDPR), and if we process the data automatically.
When using this right to data portability, you also have the right to have your personal data sent directly from one data controller to another, if this is technically possible. This must not negatively affect the rights and freedoms of other people.
The right to data portability does not apply to the processing of personal data that is needed to perform a task in the public interest or to exercise official authority given to the data controller.
Right to Complain to a Supervisory Authority (Article 77 I GDPR)
If you suspect that your data is being processed illegally on our website, you can, of course, always seek a legal solution.
Aside from that, you can always contact a supervisory authority. You have the right to complain in the EU country where you live, work, and/or where the supposed violation happened. This means you can choose the supervisory authority you contact from the places mentioned above. The supervisory authority where you filed the complaint will then tell you about the status and results of your complaint, including the possibility of a legal remedy under Article 78 of the GDPR.
